Throwing it all the way back to the Spring of 1987 when Lagerfeld muse Inès de La Fressange took to the runway wearing these iconic Chanel earrings which have been featured in countless editorials and are one of the most coveted Chanel items of all time. All accents are done in bright gold metal and the top button is smooth with clip backings. The hanging number five is open work and dangles from a circle frame. Mannequin display is lifesize and represents the true earring size. Excellent very vintage condition with minor surface scratches commensurate with age and some verdigris on the back top only. Measures 3 and 1/4 inches tall by 2 and 1/8 inches wide. Signed and engraved CHANEL.
